IaAM offer a range of options in relation to personal development including anger assessments, one to one therapy and group sessions. We also understand that not everyone is able to travel to us access our programmes so we are now in a position to provide online assessments, online counselling and psychotherapy via Skype.

The asessment process is exactly the same as our initial face to face session and you will have the opportunity to discover what services and support we can offer you in the comfort of your own environment.

 

 

 

Corporate Programmes

Managing Anger in the Workplace” is an intensive one-day programme delivered at one of our venues, or a venue that suits you.  The programme is very effective for people who come into contact with aggressive and hostile behaviour as part of their everyday or working lives. Very often what we see or do can escalate a difficult situation, so it is important to recognise what people need in that moment, and how it may be possible to give it to them without compromising our own integrity.

Using scenarios that reflect situations that might arise in the work place, we teach skills to help you handle and defuse conflict situations, protecting employers and their employees and creating a more harmonious, safe working environment. By examining and identifying reasons behind conflict it is therefore possible to improve work strategies

  • How to create strong personal boundaries in order not to take things personally

IaAM are internationally recognised experts in the areas of anger, stress and anxiety management and have provided numerous workshops and seminars to professional audiences worldwide. Training workshops and seminars such as “anger essentials”, “Parenting children and teens with anger problems” “Staying cool under fire” and “calm parenting” have offered a trove of practical tools and techniques to support participants to manage difficult emotions. CPD (contunued professional development) certificates of attendance for employees and practitioners are available on request.

Peter Devers M.Sc.

Peter Devers is a director of IaAM, an IACP and BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist, Trainer and Supervisor. He has 24 years post-graduation experience working with NHS Scotland and community based counselling services in Ireland. Peter’s vast experience as a Psychotherapist with adults and young people who have experienced childhood trauma gives him a leading edge in working in the field of difficult emotions.. He is committed to working to the highest professional standards and is passionate about supporting people to achieve a better sense of well-being through the development of emotional intelligence.

Bernard Henry

The founder and director of IaAM. He has eighteen years extensive experience working as a counsellor/psychotherapist in both the community and statutory sectors, giving him unique insight, experience and a wealth of knowledge that is invaluable when working with a wide range of emotional difficulties. Trained in psychotherapy and group facilitation, Bernard brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the specialist field of anger management. His expertise and experience has been acknowledged by the two leading counseling/psychotherapy professional bodies in both Ireland and the UK. He is an accredited/registered therapist with both the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He works strictly within The Professional Code of Ethics and Practice of both Professional Bodies, ensuring a service at the highest level of professional standards.
